August 2022 documentation refresh for Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6.4 and 6.2

Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 6.4 and 6.2 documentation is refreshed today to include the following enhancements:

Enhancements in COBOL 6.4 with PTFs installed: (For a complete list of Enterprise COBOL PTFs, check https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/604539):
  • PH48453: New sample files demonstrating a COBOL/Java interoperable application and how to build it are provided in the demo subdirectory of the zFS install path. (Introducing the COBPROD application)
  • PH48667: A problem is fixed for using figurative constant HIGH-VALUES with fixed byte-length UTF-8 data items of a length not a multiple of 4 bytes. (Using UTF-8-character figurative constants)
Documentation fixes in COBOL 6.4:
- In Programming Guide:
  • Clarified the purpose of the INEXIT exit module. (Processing of INEXIT)
  • Correct statement in MDECK compile option section in MDECK. (MDECK)
  • Clarified additional INITCHECK restriction. (INITCHECK)
- In Language Reference:

  • Clarified additional INITCHECK restriction. (INITCHECK)
Documentation fixes in COBOL 6.2:
