SAP ABAP® SDK for IBM watsonx v1.4.0 released

On September 26, 2025, IBM has released version 1.4.0 of its ABAP® Software Development Kit (SDK) for IBM® watsonx™ services. The watsonx.ai service can be used to train, validate, tune, and deploy foundation and machine learning models. The watsonx.ai Runtime is used to build, run and manage generative AI and machine learning applications with built-in performance and scalabilityThe ABAP SDK provides a class library that can be downloaded to SAP systems using abapGit and comes in two flavors:

Enhancements in this release include new watsonx.ai methods in the groups Prompt Sessions and Prompts. More information about the changes in version 1.4.0 can be found in the repositories in the migration document MIGRATION-V1.4.0.md.
