Join us for a webinar on October 1st at 11 AM ET to explore the exciting new capabilities of App Connect Enterprise (ACE) 13. Our expert speakers, Ben Thompson (Chief Architect, App Connect Enterprise) and Wayne Swales (Program Director, App Connect Enterprise), will delve into the key enhancements and benefits of this powerful integration solution.
IBM App Connect Enterprise 13 is the IBM premier any-to-any integration solution built on more than two decades of cross-industry experience. App Connect Enterprise 13 extends and enhances integration capabilities for today’s styles of integration requirements including automation, event, and API-driven architectures. In addition, App Connect Enterprise 13 extends to cloud-native technologies using smart discovery connectors that leverage AI capabilities to assist in the initiation of application integration. App Connect Enterprise 13 provides tools for clients to integrate complex application-to-application integration solutions. App Connect Enterprise 13 can help enable clients to integrate applications and automate daily repetitive tasks. A single optimized run-time is used to support artifacts from the integration tools.
Key capabilities and benefits
App Connect Enterprise 13 builds on the success of App Connect Enterprise 12 and extends capabilities to improve ease of use for clients, provide faster time to market of production integrations, and optimize run-times for all App Connect deployments. App Connect Enterprise 13 includes:
- Web-browser-based development tooling, available to run outside of cloud and container deployments, allowing integrators to create low-code integrations locally on their workstations.
- Enhancements to the App Connect Enterprise secure vault technology, including a new dedicated vault view in the toolkit that offers creation, retrieval, update, and deletion of credentials stored in an App Connect Enterprise vault.
- Capabilities for viewing and retrieving deployed integrations to assist existing users who may have lost their source.
- The ability to run the Designer flow authoring tool, a simple flow programming model in a web browser, locally on a developer's laptop installation.
- A single high-performance integration server runtime supporting both Toolkit and Designer message flows.
- Flexible support for running different integration servers under various Java Runtime Environment (JRE) versions. Java 17 will be the default JRE version, while integration servers will continue to support Java 8 until Java 8 reaches its end of support.
- Additional discovery connectors, including input nodes utilizing webhook technology.
- Toolkit ease-of-use enhancements, including content assist and JSONata mapping.
- Improved ease-of-use features and a significant expansion in reusable patterns to increase the speed of development through auto-generation of integration solutions.
