I am excited to share the news with you that the National Association of Manufacturers honored IBM with five Manufacturing Leadership 100 Awards at the 2019 Manufacturing Leadership Summit. The awards recognize IBM’s use of disruptive technologies like AI, blockchain and IoT in our own supply chain – the very same technologies that we discuss in this client community forum. You can read the press release for more details.
These technologies also made the headlines in several industry publications.
Articles about our new AI-powered Anomaly Detection capability, built-in to Business Transaction Intelligence (BTI) which is part of our SCBN solution, recently appeared in four leading supply chain publications:
Click on the links above to read what IBM executives and your colleagues at The Master Lock Company and Lenovo have to say about BTI, SCBN and Anomaly Detection. And if you missed it, you can get more details on Anomaly Detection in this blog and webcast.
Blockchain and IoT were featured in this article in Inbound Logistics which highlights how companies are using these technologies, along with advances in RFID, to gain greater supply chain visibility. Richline Group discussed their partnership with IBM on TrustChain Jewelry, a blockchain initiative to track and authenticate diamonds. The article explains where to begin with blockchain and quotes IBM’s Chris Hayes on how it can enhance supply chain visibility.
I will continue to share more articles and blogs on how AI and blockchain are helping companies eliminate blind spots and surprises, preempt disruptions, and capture opportunities from order through delivery.
