Spectrum Scale 4.2.1 - What's New

Last week, we released Spectrum Scale 4.2.1. Below is the quick highlight of the release:



  • Introducing Transparent Cloud Tiering

  • Enhanced monitoring and system health check using mmhealth

  • Added SLES support for NFS and SMB protocols

  • Compression support for FPO environments

  • Enhanced documentation Updates

  • Encryption: Simplified setup and Vormetric DSM support

  • Federation in the performance monitoring tool

  • Enhanced Guided Installation

  • Enhanced Hadoop support

  • Performance enhancement and improvement including consolidation of performance tunables.

  • Extended features like QoS, GUI for z systems

  • Object storage improvements

  • Enhancement in spectrum Scale GUI

  • Auditing of config changes
