The new dynamic target allocation functionality that is available on IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot for VMware is somewhat like ready-made puff pastry dough, whereby it removes a huge slice of the 'setting up' work in relation to backing up your data stores and virtual machines on SAN Volume Controller.
