Drove business value using Apptio
Spend analysis monitors transactions to keep a track on a vendor’s financial performance and credibility. Since most projects are majorly dependent on suppliers, this analysis helps identify risk beforehand, which enables procurement to make alternate plans. Despite of being a common occurrence there were inconsistencies in the procurement pattern. Business Unit (BU) identified few vendor spends which failed to adopt the practice office guidelines. BU had less visibility on Non PO based spend. Which also created hassle in tracking vendor spend and budgeting.

This was prioritized in our PI planning and was promised to Business to deliver within a Sprint. Actively collaborated with Accounts payable and Procurement team to source the required data meet the end objective. Created new tables and reports TBMO was successful in delivering the below key values through this new report
- Granular level information on vendor spend, Insights to make better-informed decisions related to vendor spend on strategic partners.
- One stop place to source relevant information for further analysis.
- Multidimensional data to garner data insights faster.
- Paves way for improved compliance by cutting down on Non PO based / Transactional spend.
- Trend and details about open POs (commitment)
Post roll out and demo sessions, Business stakeholders & Partnership Manager were very happy with the details available in the Vendor Insights report and module
