By Anthony Giorgio posted Thu April 02, 2020 03:47 PM

z/OSMF provides a modular framework that you can use to bring together all of your z/OS system management applications. z/OSMF supports different levels of integration ranging from adding a
resource link or an application link to creating your own z/OSMF plug-ins.

To demonstrate how to create and deploy your own z/OSMF plug-in, we have made an example of z/OSMF external plugin available in Github. Here is the URL:
https://github.com/IBM/IBM-Z-zOS/tree/master/zOSMF/ExternalPluginExample-TSOBackend
You could follow the instructions in README file to deploy this example plug-in to your z/OSMF within a couple of hours. The example also contains source code include both UI code which is based on Angular framework and back end code which is a REXX program. The source code demonstrates not only how to consume z/OSMF REST APIs and Javascript function in your plugin, but also how to write a property file to describe your plugin to z/OSMF.

If you have any question about the example, please don't hesitate to contact us by caoy@cn.ibm.com and whwuhbj@cn.ibm.com.
