Free webinar: Importing your existing TCP/IP profile into Network Configuration Assistant

By Xiao Xia Mao posted Wed August 21, 2019 12:00 AM

The Configuration Assistant for z/OS Communications Server (also known as Network Configuration Assistant or NCA) is a modern web application that plugs into IBM z/OS Management Facility. The NCA provides a guided interface to help you create and manage TCP/IP profiles, and simplify configuration of TCP/IP policy-based networking functions.

You can access the NCA under the “Configuration” header in the z/OSMF navigation pane or by selecting the "Network Configuration Assistant" icon in the z/OSMF desktop interface.

Starting z/OS V2R3, or z/OS V2R2 with APARs PI66143 and PI63449 applied, you can import your existing TCP/IP profiles into the NCA. This function eliminates the need to recreate your TCP/IP configuration by hand in the NCA, giving you an accurate representation of your existing configuration within the NCA GUI and enabling you to begin working with your existing configuration right away.
