We need to fix some data errors on a production environment. These are private variables of a linked or subprocess, but we don't see them in Process Inspector. In PI only the variables of the main process are visible and editable. So, where to edit subprocess/linked process private variables in Process Inspector?

If your production environment is an "online" environment meaning you can connect to it from Process Center, then you are able to do this by:

1. Navigating to Process Center
2. Open in Designer the Snapshot that contains the process instance you are trying to fix errors on
3. Click on the magnifying glass "Search process instances"
4. Find your instance
5. Select the token that is in the subprocess/linked process that has the data you are trying to edit in the "Locations" section
6. You'll see the Data section populated with the subprocess/linked process variables you are after

If your production environment is an "offline" environment, then the Inspector that you are using is {Your Environment}/ProcessInspector, and this web inspector does not have the ability to edit these variables through the UI. In this scenario, the only way that I am aware of that you can edit these variables is the Update Instance All Variables REST call. You will need the proper permission to run this through {YourEnvironment}/bpmrest-ui unless you deploy a service that exposes this call somehow.
