What is IBM Process Automation Manager Open Edition ??

    Hello

    I have experience with IBM BAW and IBM Case Manager. But I'm trying to understand what IBM Process Automation Manager Open Edition is.

    For what I understand " IBM Process Automation Manager Open Edition" is a different thing from IBM BAW. 

    - It is the same thing (or same core) as Red Hat Process Automation Manager?
    - Is there a way to get a demo, an AS IS version or even a VM to try it out and learn more about it?

    >> Yes, the v8.0.0 version starts from the RH PAM core. IBM Business Automation Manager Open Editions core is based on jBPM/drools community projects. Additionally, it also includes Kogito (jBPM/drools based on Quarkus) that brings cloud-native business automation capabilities. official info can be found here.

    >> Concerning the "traditional" stack (jBPM and Drools as JavaEE deployments) you can run your own instance of Business-Central (the BPMN, DMN and DRL modelling environment) and Kie-server (the runtime server) very quickly just by downloading it here.
    However, if you want to go for Kogito, I encourage you to get familiar with Quarkus and then you can start here.

    I see that @Marco Antonioni has provided a one-shot installer for the IBM edition here for Linux OS.
