I have been supporting a non-profit my wife has been involved in with a focus education of under-privileged kids in Mexico.
Education is such an important issue to me, such a powerful way to life people and seeing children so eager to learn when given a chance and then succeed in ways they could not have without getting those extra classes in English or math, as well as exposure to professional environments as they were taking to Cisco on a field trip in Mexico City.
I know from my own experience that education, especially in English, and early exposure to work environment are really helpful, allowing me to move to the US and make career & a life there. I was able to share that to the kids as a guest speaker as I traveled there to see the progress and contribute as I could. This was really exciting to see the children enthusiasm, hear their questions and see how interested they are to learn. Very inspiring!

This is an opportunity for all members of our four Automation Communities - AIOps & IT Automation, Business Automation, Integration and WebSphere, Liberty, Java & DevOps – this hour will share highlights from 2022, plans for 2023 and feature a special guest headliner, Rachel Reinitz, IBM Fellow and Founder of IBM Garage, who will present a new methodology for starting Automation called, "Identifying Automation Value in a Few Hours." In addition, we will call out your submitted organizations throughout the hour.

My Charitable foundation of choice is Philabundance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a non-profit food bank serving more than 130,000 people weekly throughout the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley area. They are focused on driving hunger away from communities and ending hunger forever by distributing food, reducing food waste, increasing access to nutritious meals, and tackling the root causes of hunger through programs such as the Philadebundance community kitchen. I have personally contributed funds and volunteered my time to help Philabundance reduce hunger and ensure everyone has food access.
