Thank you Antonio,
What you explain is exactly what I am experiencing now after entering some dummy data for the SMTP server during the installation of the server.
I am trying to enter now the correct data in the Settings page, I enter the data, click on Save, I do no get any feedback on whether or not it worked, but I never receive an email on the setting the SMTP server up and when I try to force the email by adding users or re-sending the welcome email, it says yes email was sent, but the user never receives an email.
Is there some log that I can look up and find out what am I doing wrong?
The inability to setup the SMTP server is keeping the RPA install single user, I can add new users but they do not receive welcome emails to reset passwords, so nobody other than myself is able to access the RPA server.
Please advise!

Hello!
Quick answer: yes.
Even though you can provide any "fake" e-mail credentials in this step, this can bring you limitations during your experience with RPA On-Premises. I can list some of them here:
- You won't receive the first "Welcome" e-mail when your installation is finished. (Not critical)
Then, until you set the right information on the Service Parameters page, your server won't be able to send any system e-mail. So:
- New users' welcome e-mail contains the link for password definition. So you can't add individual users the classic way. (Only bulk-inserting them).
- You are exposed to the risk of forgetting your password while being the only user in your environment, so the "Forgot password" link is useless since it can't send you a password recovery e-mail.
- You won't receive e-mails about job failures.
As mentioned, you can head to the Service Parameters page in the principal Tenant and set the right information. The API will restart and you should be able to receive system e-mails.
