Identifying / quantifying the bottlenecks in a process / processes - Blueworks capability

  • 1.  Identifying / quantifying the bottlenecks in a process / processes - Blueworks capability

    Hi,

We are thinking about which drop downs we need when looking at an activity (Admin-> Properties section) e.g. Cycle times, Risk, Value Add.

Depending on which options we choose how easy is it to report on. E.g. can we produce some sort of value stream mapping output that helps us identify/quantify the bottlenecks in a process / processes?

    Many thanks,

    James

Hi James, this would be an excellent question to ask a panel of experts you can attend the Blueworks Live and Process Mining webinar tomorrow Nov 24 at 11 AM EST. https://ibm.webcasts.com/starthere.jsp?ei=1581949&tp_key=375fcff97a

If you can't make it and sign up, a link to the recording is sent out to the registrants.

At a minimum we used to track Cycle Time, Wait Time, Fixed Cost and Resource Cost to cover the always popular KPIs of time/money, but of course you might have different related KPIs and business data.

Some people do reporting through the Blueworks Live APIs, but there is a third party plug in called Blueworks Live Insights for easier reporting.

For process optimization (simulation and on historical data), process mining is a great companion to Blueworks Live too.
