    If you take a look in the Datacap documentation, in the installation section, https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/datacap/9.1.9?topic=installing, you will find advice on this topic. Take a look at the sections on "Installing and configuring Datacap on one machine" and "Installing and configuring in a client/server environment".

    For development and testing purpose you can install in Datacap as all in one.
