Hi
@Sameera Wijayarathne,
IBM Case Foundation was a lower-cost license option that included only a subset of the capabilities of the IBM Case Manager product (fewer features, lower cost).
As with full IBM Case Manager, all Case Solutions will continue to operate, mostly, as-is after the upgrade to BAW (you'd do a Case Solution Upgrade as usual).
You then have the choice to promote your Case Solutions to Case-enabled Workflow Solutions to take advantage of new, modern features provided by BAW.
That said, there are two separate problems you need to address:
- You need to talk to your IBM or Reseller sales rep to discuss the license trade up, it is not one for one and there may be additional costs in some cases.
- Once that's executed, you'll be able to get access to the new software and do the actual upgrade.
As
@Christos Chorattides linked below, though, as long as you do the trade up and continue to pay your S&S, the upgrade is not mandatory and IBM will provide continuing support (which means they'll answer your tickets and help with troubleshooting but they cannot guarantee fixes for bugs or vulnerabilities).
Hope this helps!
Best,
Eric

HI,
Can anybody who has dealt with, EOL and EOS of IBM case foundation provide me insight on the path you selected to move forward with the existing case foundation solutions? Need some insight on license management as well.
