Hello John,
You've stated that '/opt-gen' is a mount point, but, Is this a local or a remote mount point (NFS) ?
(you can also use the 'wscanfs -dl' command to find this out...)
If it's local it should be scan automatically...
if remote you would have to manually edit scanner configuration parameters, as by default, only local disks are scanned by the disconnected scanner.
The corresponding procedure is described here:

Hi Oktawain, yes, it looks like /opt-gen is a mount. Is that a problem - what sort of issues usually occur when that happens?
I guess, I should ask - what user does the disconnected ILMT agent run as ?
thanks!
John.

Hello John,
Have you also checked the '../work/isotag_scan.xml' file content ?
At first please verify the traceCIT_scanned_dirs.log file (/etc/cit/logs) if that path '/opt-eng/IBM/InformationServer/iso_swid' does show up.
If not, you need to delve into other scanner trace files (traceCITx.log) to look for any scanning issues.
Is this '/opt-eng' a local o remote mount point (NFS) ?

Thank you,

Running the scanner on a linux machine it picks up the ilmt agent - so it's working. But it doesn't pick up the datastage swidtag
/opt-eng/IBM/InformationServer/iso_swid/ibm.com_IBM_InfoSphere_Datastage-11.7.1.swidtag

Agent is running with root privileges as far as i can tell. So, how on earth do I debug this.
I don't see anything negative in the logs - just the positive stuff of what it could find - so, how do i start to debug please - any ideas?
thanks!
