  • 1.  Disable Annotation Toolbar Programatically

    Posted Mon October 30, 2023 01:10 PM

    I have written an action where I merge the contents of the selected TIFF files and open it from the Viewer. Now, I have to disable the annotation toolbar programmatically while opening the document from Viewer.

    Version of ICN : 3.0.11

    Viewer: IBM Daeja Viewone

    Hi Anuram,

    i think i did this once with a custom viewer inheriting from the Daeja viewer The method in question was ViewoneHTMLViewer.switchEditModeToolbar(false).

    Hope this helps :)

    Best regards,
    Julian

    Hello Anuram,

    You can try calling ViewoneHTMLViewer.disableAnnotationEdit().

    Andy

    Thanks Julian and Andy. Below is the current status,

    I tried ViewoneHTMLViewer.disableAnnotationEdit() but no luck. I have also tried ViewoneHTMLViewer.showAnnotationToolbar(false) ViewoneHTMLViewer.setAnnotateEdit(false) but none of which worked.

    As of now, I'm using the option below, which hides the annotation toolbar but makes it visible when I click the show Annotation toolbar button in the viewer. I'm attempting to make the show/hide annotation toolbar button disappear. Kindly share if any suggestions

    ViewoneHTMLViewer.setShowAnnotations(false);

    Hello Anuram,

    It might help if you use Dojo aspect API to call the method after ViewoneHTMLViewer.viewerReadyEvent() or DocViewer.onDocumentLoaded() is called.

    Hi I asume you use the Daeja viewer for that. You can set a daeja paramter in your ICN desktop configuration.

    annotationHideButtons = angle,arrow,circle,freehand,highlight,highlightPoly,line,note,openPoly,oval,poly,rectangle,redact,redactPoly,restore,ruler,save,select,show,solidText,square,stamp,text,Hyperlink,Watermark

    If you hide all buttons the toolbar disappear.
