Hi Duke,
Thanks for the reply. I checked the Show Single Page and tested. I was unable to use the mouse wheel to scroll down. I could only use the page down and page up which was very slow.
Are you using the local service and not seeing these types of issues?
Bob

Hey Bob,
So the fix was to add the base url in the nscan? I am not using SSL. see below.
To fix your scrolling page issue being slow. In the same advance setting for nscan. Scroll down and check the box that said Show Single Page. That should help with your slow viewing of pages.
If you don't check it it try to load everything and give you long pause on large doc.

Sorry for the garbage behind the service url. It is in the Local Service Base URL property in the advance configuration for the NScan.

Hi All,
Update, I have been able to get past the error message by putting https://127.0.0.1:51224/service/" href="https://127.0.0.1:51224/service/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" class="fui-Link ___1rxvrpe f2hkw1w f3rmtva f1ewtqcl fyind8e f1k6fduh f1w7gpdv fk6fouc fjoy568 figsok6 f1hu3pq6 f11qmguv f19f4twv f1tyq0we f1g0x7ka fhxju0i f1qch9an f1cnd47f fqv5qza f1vmzxwi f1o700av f13mvf36 f1cmlufx f9n3di6 f1ids18y f1tx3yz7 f1deo86v f1eh06m1 f1iescvh fhgqx19 f1olyrje f1p93eir f1nev41a f1h8hb77 f1lqvz6u f10aw75t fsle3fq f17ae5zn" title="https://127.0.0.1:51224/service/">https://127.0.0.1:51224/service/ in the Local Service Base URL.
We are still having an issue with long pauses when scrolling through the pages, especially when we have a large number of pages in the batch. This is why I was trying to get the local service working.
If anyone has suggestions on how to eliminate the pauses while scrolling, please let me know
Thanks,
Bob

F12 browser console log should show CSP error if it's CSP. But good call on CSP Perhaps Dynamsoft version?

Hi Bob,
It sounds like it may be a Content Security Policy issue. Is Navigator configured to use HTTPS?
IBM Datacap: Scanning documents with Datacap Navigator prompts to download Dynamsoft SDK
Configuring the Content Security Policy header in Datacap Navigator - IBM Documentation
While the articles specifically discuss the Dynamsoft service, they are also relevant to the local service.
Cheers

Hello All,
I am trying to setup Local Service for rendering pages using the Navigator job. We are nor local admins on the scanning computers but have had the local service install and setup to auto start. If I put http://127.0.0.1:51224/service/help in the browser the help screen comes up. However, when I try and scan, I get an error in the viewer

Are any of you using the local service for rendering images from the local machine? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
