    Hello Community,
Im joining recently to this group,

I have a customer using Filenet first, they have a Company Object Store as a Enterprise Content Management (ECM) for the company, in the same object store they defined objects like properties, classes document, business folder structure and more.

Recently they are staring to use Case Manager (BAW) by default the new applications, properties, classes document and more are saving on Design Object Store (DOS) and Target Object Store (TOS) in the same Filenet.

Is it possible to convert the Company Object Store to a new Target Object Store, keeping the object definitions, and Case Manager (BAW) uses the new TOS?

Is it a best practice / recommendation to do this? to have a one Content Repository to use for ECM and for Case Manager application?

    thanks for the feedback =)

Yes, the existing object store, should be identified as the target object store when configuring the case components during the case management installation.
There will be two types of environments:
Development -- with a design object store and a target object store
Production/QA -- with a staging object store and a target object store

Since you have existing artifacts in the production environment object store, you will want to make sure those same artifacts with the same GUIDs exist in all the target object stores in the lower environments.
