Decision Management (ODM,ADS)

After installing ODM v8.11 cluster into WAS 9 ND using ODM Profile Templates on Linux, unable to use Decision Runner for running test or simulations.

There is a known issue affecting ODM v8.11 clustered deployments on WebSphere ND v9.0.x , APAR RS03924 , which will be released soon.

The workaround is to manually install Decision Runner (Testing and Simulation app) per https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/odm/8.11.0?topic=server-deploying-testing-simulation-archive

In case the documented procedure to manually install Decision Runner (Testing and Simulation app) to set classloader order is not very clear, make note of the following minor changes to steps 15 and after -

15) Open Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications, and click Testing and Simulation

16) Click Class loading and update detection

17) Select Classes loaded with local class loader first (parent last), click OK,

and then save to the master configuration.

18) In Enterprise Applications > Testing and Simulation, Click Manage Modules.

19) Click Decision Runner, then in Class loader order drop-down, select

Classes loaded with local class loader first (parent last), and click OK.

20) Click OK again, and then Save to save to the master configuration.

21) Click checkbox to select Testing and Simulation and click Start.
