    Posted Mon April 11, 2022 05:25 AM
    Hello,
I am preparing to upgrade from BPM 8.5.6 to BAW 21.0.3.
First I upgraded from Windows 2008 to 2012, we tested and everything was ok with BPM.
Next we upgrade the SQL Server from 2008 to 2019 in compatibility mode with 2012 ( the latest one that is supported with BPM 8.5.6, according to the compatibility table, https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/softwareReqsForProduct?deliverableId=1379596390980&osPlatform=Windows)

The system has the following versions:
    WebSphere [BPMSTD 8.5.6.0 20150922-143833]Platform 8.5.5.5 [ND 8.5.5.5 cf051507.01] running with process name PCCell1\Node1\DeployEnv1.AppCluster.Member1 and process id 7080
Host Operating System is Windows Server 2012, version 6.2
    Java version = 1.6.0, Java Runtime Version = pwa6460_26sr8fp3-20141218_02 (SR8 FP3), Java Compiler = j9jit26, Java VM name = IBM J9 VM

After the SQL Server upgrade we start having the following error:

    FFDC Exception:com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException SourceId:com.ibm.bpm.migration.database.ValidateDatabaseVersion.verifyStandardDB ProbeId:102 Reporter:java.lang.String@a7bdcc71
    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Invalid object name 'LSW_SYSTEM_SCHEMA'.
    at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException.makeFromDatabaseError(SQLServerException.java:216)
    at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerStatement.getNextResult(SQLServerStatement.java:1515)
    at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerStatement.doExecuteCursored(SQLServerStatement.java:1879)
    at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerStatement.doExecuteStatement(SQLServerStatement.java:766)

Customer is opening a Case, but maybe someone from here can help.

Hello all, hope you have a nice day,
no need for answer to this thread, the IBM Support already told me that BPM 8.5.6 do not support MSSQL 2019 in compatibility mode with 2012, the only option is using the real MSSQL 2012.
