to transfer old files just use 'oc cp' command. Using that command You can easily transfer files from current location to the PVC.
If You need external system to consume files exported from Manage than You can mount the Azure File share from one side as PVC and as a file share from the other. I belive this article will be helpful as to how mount Azure File in Windows https://microsoft.github.io/AzureTipsAndTricks/blog/blog/tip354.html

Thanks @Witold Wierzchowski for your reply.
So, if we configure PVC, we can see those files inside Pod's terminal. How would we transfer our old attachments from windows File server to Pod's terminal?
And How would external system consume the files which Manage application publish? because we can see those files only inside Pod's terminal
Please guide.

Hi Drashti,
if You are deploying on cloud then i would suggest using cloud provider services. Azure Blob storage unfortunately is not S3 compatible so You cannot use that. The second best option is to create a PVC using RWX Storage Class. For Azure that would be the Azure Files https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.14/storage/persistent_storage/persistent-storage-azure-file.html. The PVC for doclinks and integration files can be specified directly in Manage configuration - the operator will deploy those PVC for You.

Witold

Hi @Jan-Willem Steur, Witold, Ankit
We are trying to upgrade on-prem EAM to MAS on Azure cloud, it would be good if you can share your experience/learning on below topics
1) How did you handled doclinks, (currently EAM is storing at file server) how did this be moved with Azure storage?
2) Integration files (currently Maximo publish the files on File server) how this should work with Azure storage?
Do we need to setup NFS storage class to implement the same using Azure?
I am trying to find the most suitable approach for these EAM files on Azure.
kindly suggest.
Thanks & Regards,
Drashti
