    Hello All,

I started to upgrade the Anywhere required components, but presented with "The 64 bit Maximo asset Management required components package cannot be installed in the 32 bit IBM Http Server v8.5 package group" Error.
Any ideas on how to resolve this ?. Is there 32 bit version available for download ?.

Please ensure that when you run the IBM Installer that you choose the correct install package location.  You will have several core installation packages.  Rather than the "IBM Http Server v8.5" package group, you will want the "IBM Tivoli's process automation Suite" group. See Attached Picture for a visual reference. NOTE: the selection list shown is for an "update" but regardless of your intended action (i.e. Install, Update, Modify, or Delete) the list is the same at this point using the IBM Installation Manager.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for pointing that out. That helped me to proceed.
However I am struck again at tivoli process automation engine configuration utility.
As per documentation, after updates are installed to tivoli process atuomation, we will get a screen to update db

However instead of the above screen I get the following:

What am I missing here ?

@Prasad Pandari, When I first looked at this I was a bit confused (as I am sure you are!  Ha!), but it occurs to me after studying the two docs you sent that it would appear you have either chosen an environment into which you have not yet completed a deployment or perhaps you have a new deployment folder into which the IBM IM tool does not know that you have already deployed your system.

Let me explain:  The IBM IM uses a small Derby database to keep track of what was done my whom.  In other words it is a user based tool.  So if on your server you have deployed Maximo 7.6.x as user A then when you come in as User B you will be presented with a different set of data.  User B may not know of User A deployments.  I say May because it depends on how you set up the IM tool.  It might be that your deployment folder (IBM/SMP/ or in this case IBM/SMP761) is "incorrect".  Or rather, that you have multiple folders and one has completed installation and the other has not?  The IM tool knows this (i.e. there are makers in the IM tool DB that indicate which folder is used for which environment, and how far along the installation has been completed.)  BTW this behind the scenes DB is not accessible to the best of my knowledge.  I have only experienced this behavior form the front end.  There are others who may be able to explain this better than I.

OK so that was a nice jaunt down academia lane... so what?  My suggestion is this:  Back up and take a look during your deployment to ensure that you are pointed at the correct deployment folder to ensure that you are pointed to the correct folder.  If you are and you still get this result, then look at which userid is executing the tool.  Make sure it is the same user id (i.e. root or system or whatever service account was use the first time installation took place).  If you continue to get this same result, then please open a service ticket and ask for assistance with support.

    Hope this helps.

sounds like different installed user is the issue. Different installed user id  is used in Maximo_install.locations file.
This user does not exist in org anymore. Is there any way we can update the user and proceed

yeah... so I said the the install info was tracked by a small derby database.  I may be totally wrong on that point.  This file appears to have the info you are looking to modify.  if the IM_install_user is your recently departed colleagues userid, you may very well be able to edit this and get back to where you want to be.  Perhaps not though.  Do you have multiple copies of this file on your install machine?  If you do then for sure compare them.  I would also encourage you to open a case with support on this.  Make sure you note that it has to do with your Maximo IBM Installation Manager.  That way it will get routed correctly.  Yo do not want this going to the Maximo team per-se as much as the IM team who deals with Maximo.

    Hi Bradley,

The issue was that the anywhere was not up to date with the ifixes in the environment. After applying the ifixes the update went through fine.
