I'm having an issue with map performance in Spatial 7.6.1 (I had it in 7.6.0 too):

When the map is used for the first time in the day, it takes 2-3 minutes to initialize, or "warm-up", which is too long to wait.

• Once the map has been used at least once that day, it seems to load relatively quickly after that.
• I have not observed the same issue with a standalone ESRI web map (that uses the same map service/data).
• I tried isolating the issue to a specific layer, but there doesn't seem to be a single layer that is causing the issue. The map just seems to be equally/incrementally slow with all layers.

Does anyone know why Spatial takes so long to initialize?

we battled with the slow loading of the map some time ago by solving it with an ifix that addressed our problem https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/IJ19966
I don't know if it's the same as yours but installing the latest available ifix usually doesn't hurt ;-)

I believe we have all the latest patches. And we are using 7.6.1.2.

It would be really great if IBM could find a way to eliminate this problem.

Have you checked that the interim-fix for 7.6.0.x that I have indicated is also included in the fixes of version 7.6.1.x?
By tracing network calls, have you already managed to identify the anomalous calls that slow down the process?

Hi Diego,

Yes, IBM has confirmed that 7.6.1.0 contains the fix for IJ19966.
I'll look into tracing the network calls. That kind of thing is new to me, so it'll be a bit of a learning curve.
