    Hi, guys,

Does anyone know if there is a way of not having to route the workflow twice when interacting with an interaction node in the workflow?

This technical note (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/routing-work-flow-record-interaction-node) explains the problem we are experiencing but the suggested solution in the attached doc is not the best and implies that the user is always viewing the same message throughout the various interaction nodes of the workflow and does not guarantee that the routing is performed.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards

    Hi Andre

This is possible by setting the Application to your application then the Action to ROUTEWF.

    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

Thanks but the problem is that we already have an action defined that brings up a dialog screen to fill in some fields by the user. I thought about using a group action, but I realized that it doesn't allow us to choose the ROUTEWF action.

    Any thoughts?

Ah a bit trickier then. Perhaps you could call an automation script which opens the dialog then routes the workflow, or could you make the ok/cancel buttons on the dialog call a script instead so that they route the workflow then close the dialog?

    Hello André

When you use the interactionnode to dispay a message you can use fill in ROUTEWF in the ACTION field. IF this action is not yet available in the application you have to create it first in the Application Designer. This will eleminate the use of pressing the routewf button again.

    Hi Gertjan,

As I said in my previous reply, which you probably missed, we already have an action defined in that field and as far as I know only one action can be selected.

I've also tried to define a group action but it doesn't allow you to add the ROUTEWF action.

I'll try to put the action to routewf in the dialog screen to see if it works.

    Thanks

    Regards

    Hi André,

Did you manage to open the owner dialog and run routewf in the interaction node?
