  • 1.  PODs getting restart automatically and Manage is not accessible

    Posted Tue October 08, 2024 07:17 AM

    Hello,

Manage application was working fine 24 hours before but now when I am trying launch Manage getting below error

The <<manage url>> page can't be found. and below this showing HTTP ERROR 404.

Also the restart column showing 30+ in last 24 hours for all the POD (ui, mea, report, cron), though status of all the pods is showing running.

When checked the logs in all the pod logs I see BMXAA4114E - An illegal access exception occurred.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

The reason of that can be very different. I suggest starting from the investigation of logs on pods with bundles (UI or ALL) by selecting "previous log" on the log tab in OpenShift.

As Andrey mentioned, there can be multiple reasons why those pods are failing. Can You share some more information about Your setup? Which OCP version and MAS version You are running? what is the ManageWorkspace configuration? what are the errors from failed pods?

    Hi Anil,

Please verify the below details as part of troubleshooting.

    1. If all pods (UI,Mea,IF, and Report) are running with 2/2, or if there is any deviation like 1/2 or 0/1.
    2. Have you installed any custom certificates recently? If yes, please check if all URLs (Core and Manage) are included.
    3. Check the pod logs from each bundle (UI, Mea, IF, and Report).
    4. Please check whether the maxadmin user is blocked or not.
    5. Check the status of Suite and ManageWorkspace CRDs instances from OCP.
    6. Please check the core namespace pods (coreidp, sls, license mediator) all are running as expected or not.

As the others have said you need to check the logs and post details of the errors if possible.

The illegal exception error is probably the last error message that is in the logs - there are likely to be more important error messages earlier in the logs.
