  • 1.  OUTBound Services to ArcGIS

    Hi There

    I hope you are doing well

    I have configured Maximo Spatial with ArcGIS 10.8.1 which is federated with GIS Portal

    I have configured INBound JSON Mapping and OuBound JSON Mapping

    The Services I am using are secured and I have added the username and password in the Map Manager and system properties.

    I have no problem in Displaying the map or reading specification from GIS into Maximo specifications via the Cron Task and the Inbound json Mapping.

    Even Maximo updates the MXCreationstate from 1 to 2.

    But when I am updating Maximo Specifications and we configured a publish channel to the feature class end point inside the External system.

    We get an error of invalid token although the username is valid and works fine for viewing and reading from GIS and writing to GIS (updating the MXCreationstate to 2) via the cron task.

    Is anything that we have missed ? I think the "com.ibm.tivoli,maximo.arcgis.ArcGISMapperExit" is supposed to generate the token but it is not able to.

    Everything works fine (Inbound , outbound , viewing ) when the ArcGIS Server is standalone and not federated with Portal.

    I will appreciate your responses . let me know if you need more details

    Hello Kareem,

    So glad to see the integration of the Inbound and Outbound is working well.  The issue with the Token that is failing is a known problem, actually several problems with the token code had been identified and resolved in several APARs from 2020, many of which depend on other APARs on teh TPAE side.  For example:

    I would suggest you upgrade the Spatial, TPAE and MIF to the latest release of IFIX. Keep all in the same month at the very least so that the code integrates well.

    Dear Eleri

    Thanks a lot for your support. I will ask the team to check the fixes and see if they can upgrade Spatial. I think they already did that on Staging Environment.

    The link you shared is not related to the problem we are facing. We are not using Webmaps.

    We can view data coming from ArcgIS Server federated with Portal , We can read changes through the CRON Task which goes and contact with ArcGIS and generates a token which help in reading the data and even writing back the changes in MXCreationstate.

    Problem comes when changing a specification in Maximo and get sent to GIS throught the publish channel. So if the code inside this class "com.ibm.tivoli,maximo.arcgis.ArcGISMapperExit" is fixed , Then Upgrading Spatial and applying the patches will work.

    This issue was related to the Object Structure . Pluss Columns were excluded from the Object Structure we were using..Once we included them. everything started to work
