Maximo 7.6.1. Installation on Windows Server 2019

    I need to instal maximo 7.6.1 on windows server 2019. However, when I try to download maximo installation files from "Passport Advantage Online", I cannot find windows server 2019 in combobox. Should I download files for windows server 2016?

    We used same installation files (for Win 2016) on both 2016 and 2019 WIN OS Servers. No issues due to OS version differences.

    Hi,

    We can install 7.6.1 on Windows Server 2019, however when we look at the System Information, the Server OS still shows Windows 2016. Is there a way this information can be updated to Windows 2019 on the System Information dialog?

    Hi Priyaranjandas,

    I've installed 7.6.1.2 on a Windowns Server 2019 and it shows the correct info on system Information as you can see in the image below.

    Hi Andre,

    That's interesting. We installed 7.6.1 as per IBM recommendation to bypass the prerequisite check. But we found this on the System Information.

    Any idea from where the OS version is displayed on the System Information dialog box?

    in system information you'll see the OS of the application servers (e.g. WebSphere), not the OS of the admin WS or DB Server

    Hi Priyaranjandas,

    After you install the feature pack 7.6.1.2 or 7.6.1.3 it will appear the correct Server OS in system information,

    We have installed the Feature pack 7.6.1.2, but due to some reason it has not updated for us.

    Just wondering from where is this information picked up?
