There is no standard functionality for doing this - but I am interested in understanding why you want to duplicate your data.
If you did duplicate your data to the asset specification, then which will be the master data - the meter reading or the asset spec? Both could be updated using standard functionality in Maximo, so I think you should consider what happens if one or the other is updated.

Subject: How to copy each new meter reading to a field on the asset record
For a particular set of asset meters, each time a new [characteristic] meter reading is entered, I need to update a specification attribute value on the asset with the same value. Can anyone provide an example of how to do this efficiently?
For example:
- the characteristic meter values for meter type "HEATSTATUS" could be "LOW", "MEDIUM", "HIGH".
- the asset has a specification attribute called "HEATSTATUS".
- when the characteristic meter "HEATSTATUS" has a meter reading entry for "MEDIUM", I would like to update the asset specification attribute for "HEATSTATUS" to be "MEDIUM". (If the specification attribute of "HEATSTATUS" doesn't exist for that asset, I would also like to create it... but that is more of a wish list item.)
