We are implementing Maximo 7.6 and are struggling emails being case sensitive, while setting single sign-on in Maximo

Any help... how can we overcome the emails case sensitivity issue in Maximo

Also any info on why are the email addresses kept case sensitive in Maximo?

    regards

    Hi Mx Pro,

What is the issue you are facing with emails being case sensitive?

If the issue is with Loginid as principal in Web sphere to authenticate then you can use Maximo System Property 'mxe.convertloginid'  and set all login id to Caps in user's application in Maximo.
In this case no matter what is passed as login id, Maximo will convert the id to upper case for authentication.

    Hi Biplab,
    thanks for your reply
We are bringing login IDs from Azure AD in to Maximo for Single Sign on in Maximo
there we got issue for IDs and our consultants discovered this behavior.
Can you explain what exactly needs to be done?
I mean, while integrating, shall we ask them to get all the IDs stored in Maximo DB as UPPERCASE or what... can you please explain in details...
    thanks

Additionally, Issue is while doing the sign-on
We have set email addresses as login IDs.
there comes the issue with diff in cases...
as of now we are making sure that all the email addresses are entered in lower case... but once the implementation gets over and system goes in Operation... my fear is at that time
so what is the advice to do now so that to eliminate any future issue...

    thanks in advance

    Hi Mx Pro,

Yes, set the loiginid with caps email values.
Then, set the system property('mxe.convertloginid') I have mentioned above to true.

This system property would convert the loginid to caps before validating it in Maximo and this should help in resolving the problem.

Please note, I haven't faced the problem you are facing and the answer I am providing is based on your inputs.
