The TRIRIGA Data Integrator is very useful when batch updating existing records in draft status, but what about when a need arises to batch update hundreds of records already in active status? We are in the process of updating our location records (properties, buildings, floors, etc.) and the business users are providing me the data in a spreadsheet format that would normally be used to create the tab delimited text file to upload records into the system via data integrator. But many of the location records I am being asked to update are already in active status and are being utilized by the end users. I was wondering if there is some trick to change these existing records back to draft status so that they can be updated using data integrator, but I don't know what the inherent risks would be to the existing processes in the system that reference these location records. I was also wondering if it might be possible to create a custom workflow that could revise the existing location records, and update the record data with data loaded into the triHelper module. But unfortunately I do not yet possess the technical skills needed to develop a custom workflow. This must be a common issue that TRIRIGA admins must address from time to time, so I hoping someone out there has already developed a custom solution to this type of issue and would be willing to share it with the rest of us on the forum. And FYI, I'm working with TRIRIGA platform 3.6.1 / application 10.6.1.
