Hi, are there plans to make Hybrid Cloud Mesh (Mesh Manager) available in AWS, Azure or other clouds?

The reason is for a client to know where his SaaS is running, because of regulations and compliance. They need to understand in which geography it is running. And some clients will prefer to run it with their preferred cloud vendor (mainly AWS & Azure).

    Thanks!

    Joël.

Yes. we are getting this request from multiple quarters and it is part of the plan.  However, the initial plan is to host the Mesh Manager (the Management and Policy plane for Hybrid Cloud Mesh) only on IBM Cloud, at GA. But as part of our vision, we are looking at offering the SaaS on other well known public clouds as well, such as AWS, Azure or GCP.

Unrelated to this, we are also getting requests to have the Mesh Manager packaged and offered as an on-prem offering, especially for government customers.  Even with an onprem Mesh Manager, customers have the ability to host it both in onprem, as well as in their chosen cloud. But one needs to understand that this is not SaaS, and hence not managed by IBM (In other words, this is not SaaS).
