  • 1.  How to guide and is this product for big router and switches - like Cisco ASR 9900,s ect.

    Most of the documenation I have come across so far seems to be geared towards VM, containers and kubernetes.  Is this the right tool for me?  If so, is there a complete how to guide on getting started?  I can access the hunter ui, but do not see a way to get to the device manager for example.

    Hi Mark,

    For SevOne NPM,  you can find the documentation here:  

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/sevone-npm/6.6?topic=pdfs-nms-66-guides

    It includes quick start guides to get you started.  Essentially you download the SevOne vPAS and Data Insight software VMs from Passport Advantage.  Once they are provisioned, you can go to the Device Manager within the SevOne vPAS and add your Cisco device(s) to it, causing them to be discovered.  Provided that they are SNMP-enabled, they should show up in the UI in a few minutes.

    ...yes, in addition to Tim's instructions below.. we are 100% a Network Performance Management tool so we love big routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN, wireless controllers, optical, 3/4/5G core and everything in between - if it has 1 or 1000 ethernet ports, we're all over it!
