    hi Albert,

    I think I'm going to be a little bias as I work for IBM and my focus is on our monitoring & analytics offerings. I'd be curious to learn more about your requirements. I'd be happy to review our capabilities in our IBM Performance Management offerings.

    Hi Jeff,

    Are there any documents that compare the APM offering with the leaders in the Market like Dynatrace and or Appdynamics?

    IBM APM is not present on the Gartner magic quadrant and I cannot find any information on how it compares.

    Hi Jeff,

    We currrently have a wide distribution of IBM tools (ITM, Netcool, ITCAM etc.. ) but we use tools like Dynatrace and site confidance in the APM space. Prodominantly by devops team looking specifically at performance.

    I am currently embarking on an APM8 POC but the devops teams that are using Dynatrace are suggesting that APM8 falls short in many areas and have disengaged from the POC.  It would help me greatly to see such a document in order to set my expectation and see if there is an oppurtunity to leverage our current IBM distribution (OS, App agents etc)  and save money by replacing other tools.

    Are you located in the Toronto area? Please feel free to connet with me privately at jdonald@ca.ibm.com and I'd be happy to share some information with you. Once we've connected are you able to share the business requirements, goals, objectives, acceptance/testing criteria of your PoC? Are you working with IBM on your PoC?

    One primary difference between IBM and our competitors that customers has highlighted to me is licensing. IBM licenses by server - where as others license by agent. An in their solutions they require multiple agents which dramatically drives up costs.
