SPSS Statistics

 installed the trial for the first time, but it won't authorize with a message saying I've already used it. I've never used the trial, what should I do?

The trial license is good for 30 days and is tethered to both the IBMid used and the hardware characteristics of the PC or Mac where the software is installed.  The most common reasons to see such a message:
- The IBMid used has been used before in the last 365 days.  Note this is true regardless of the computer used.  If this IBMid has activated the Statistics trial in the last 365 days and that trial is now expired, then that IBMid will be useless until 365 days after the end of the trial expiration.  To continue using this IBMid, purchase the IBM SPSS Statistics Subscription product.
- The PC or Mac has activated the SPSS Statistics Trial at some time in the last 365 days.  Note this is true regardless of the IBMid used. If this computer has activated the Statistics trial in the last 365 days and that trial is now expired, then Statistics Trial will not license again until 365 days after the end of the trial expiration.  To continue using SPSS Statistics with this computer, purchase the IBM SPSS Statistics product with either IBMid or Term licensing.

You might try creating a new IBMid, tethered to a different email address, and install to a different computer.  That should get you past the trial period, at which point you could decide to purchase or not purchase using your preferred IBMid.
