really large blank spaces in syntax after being saved

    hi, i'm using spss statistics version 27 and have been saving my syntax with not really issues. however, several times after opening the document again after i've saved it and closed it, there's been extremely large blank spaces between lines within commands and between commands- is there any way i can solve this issue? thanks.

    I have sometimes seen this misbehavior, generally with syntax pasted from a custom dialog box.  It's quite annoying, but you can fix a file easily, and then the extra blank lines don't come back.

    Type ctrl-a ctrl-m.  ctrl-a selects the entire contents in the window, and ctrl-m deletes all blank lines in the selection.
