I found a link saying that CPLEX Optimization Studio is free for students and academics.

It says "go to http://ibm.biz/CPLEXonAI. Click on Software, then you'll find, in the ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio card, a link to register"

I clicked the above link, but got to a page that does not have a "Software" button, and could not find ILOG CPLEX over there.

Is CPLEX still free for academics? If so, what is the correct link to use for accessing it?

If you scroll down to the point where you get an array of "cards" ("Getting Started with Data" etc.) and look to the left margin, you will see a menu of sorts with three options: Courseware; Software; Resources. Click Software and the cards change, with the first card now being ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio, which is what you want.

Thanks! I finally found it. I then encountered a different issue: when I got to ILOG CPLEX page, there was a message requiring me to login or register. After logging in, I got to a different page. In that other page, I had to click the menu option "Data Science", and only then I finally found the ILOG CPLEX version to download. Now all is working. Thanks again
