    I was excited to try out the new telephony and sms integration with my voice enabled assistant; however it looks like I won't be able to move my development from the Voice Assistant with Watson instance that I am currently using to this new Watson Assistant integration as there is only the option to use Watson STT/TTS.  
    While Watson STT/TTS is slowly getting better I need a STT engine that is more consistent in recognising the Aussie accent and a TTS engine that has an Aussie accent voice option, so I am using Google STT/TTS at the moment.  VA with Watson lets me configure the solution to run with Watson or Google which is great.  I know that IBM may want to have everything locked into the Watson world, but the reality is that people want to use different services for different functions.  I think WA is a great dialog/conversation tool; however I would like the option to combine it with something like Google for voice and so would love to see a wider range of STT/TTS integration options when configuring the service.

    Hi Graham, thanks for the feedback! Anything else you've noticed is definitely helpful.

    As for the STT stuff: It's less about vendor lock-in and more about simplicity to deploy. Configuring other STT engines requires a lot more complexity on both our maintenance and the user's experience. Not to mention we just went to closed beta a few weeks ago so there's definitely a lot we want to do. Over time we will have a lot of the features Voice Agent had built into the phone integration, ideally in a way that makes it easier for everyone to maintain and scale.
