Can we use RTRT for performing unit test on host based environment? In other words , is TDP mandatory when using RTRT tool even for Host environment ?
If we can use RTRT when performing host test based , please give me a link where explain how to configure RTRT that way.
What is OS, compiler version, target board? Simulator,...?
TDP (Target Deployment Port) is the interface with the compiler and execution environment.
Even on HOST you need a TDP, and with Test RealTime you have the standard TDPs for Gcc, Visual and few others which can use as base to customize yours.
It's why it can be adapted to just about any compiler and execution environment on the market.
The documentation can be find in the TDP editor coming with the tool.
However the customization can be tricky depending the target, you can also contact the support if you have any specific questions.
Thanks Yanis for ur answer,
For the information you asked:
On my current project i have to use this compiler, simulator and target, i have already customized my TDP for both host and target solutions. I will use the target TDP for the final test on the real environment, but for now i want just run my tests on host environment and i get some problem when running trace32(v2018) on simulating mode ( perhaps server license pb). So i want to know here if i can work around TRACE32 simulator and TDP by using RTRT without TDP nor Simulator just inorder to test elementary c functions on windows PC ( host environment). You said in your answer that TDP is necessary even on HOST environment :(, that answer my question even it is not the respond i wonder.
It is too bad to not be able to use RTRT for simple unit test without "TDP" other tools ( used before) are better on that point!
