Symptom: Expand carets are not visible in a plan section

In some browsers, and specifically Internet Explorer (IE), it is common for the user interface to show the menu without carets.

Here, the expandable menu carets (top of the screen, to the left of the expanded menu) are not present for navigating through the Departments.

What's going on

The security settings in IE need to be updated.  

NOTE  Your network security team may need to update the browser security settings.

Resolution

To avoid this issue in IE:

1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 
2.  Click the Security tab, then click the  Internet zone icon.
3. Click Custom level.
   
   
   
4. Scroll down to the Downloads section.
5. Under Font download, click Enable.
    
   
   
6. Click OK.                                                                           
7. Refresh your browser window. The carets should now appear.

TIPS & TRICKS

• Your organization might block font downloading for some sites. To isolate the font downloads to only the site used for IT Planning, you can request that your network security team add the following font download location to a safe list: https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/
• You may need to clear your browser cache after changing the settings.
• If you still don't see the results you expect, repeat steps 3-6 for the Trusted Sites zone. 

• You can also search for a specific department; type the name you want in the Search Filter.
