As part of IBM’s acquisition of DataStax, we are making important changes to how customers access DataStax software packages. The downloads.datastax.com website will be decommissioned, and all DataStax software will now be distributed through IBM’s delivery platforms.
Previously, customers downloaded DataStax binaries directly from https://downloads.datastax.com. Going forward, the same software will be available through IBM’s established delivery mechanisms:
IBM Passport Advantage (https://www.ibm.com/software/passportadvantage/index.html): For the latest releases of the hyper-converged database (HCD).
IBM Fix Central (https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral): For DataStax Enterprise and OpsCenter
To ensure uninterrupted access to DataStax software, customers should follow the instructions on https://docs.datastax.com/en/dse/6.9/installing/downloads-migration.html to confirm that they can access the software packages.
Our support team has already provisioned known customers to ensure existing DataStax Enterprise users have access via Fix Central. Customers can also manage access for other team members directly within FixCentral—no need to contact support for adding new users.
These changes streamline software delivery under IBM’s robust infrastructure, ensuring better security, entitlement management, and scalability for all customers.
