I have an open case for this issue but so far Optim support has no answer. Anybody else experience this?

Take a look at the screen capture.

    • Both laptops are Windows 10.
    • Both are Optim Connect Studio 5.3.3 build 53.
    • Both have the exact same Optim Connect license.
    • Yet, the available data providers are different.
We use the ODBC connect data provider a lot and I think it was removed. Meaning, if you upgrade from an older version , the ODBC data provider will stay. But if you install build 53 from scratch you no longer get the ODBC provider. Just trying to make sure I'm not missing something here.

We lost the ODBC, DB2, and Oracle Data providers.

Curious, have you done a compare of the installation folders on both machines? Wondering if there is possibly some library or config files that are missing and/or different between the two. Sometimes copying the file(s) from the working version to the non-working one will resolve it.
Doesn't answer the question as to why a clean install of 5.3.3 is missing these pieces, though.

Arg, I think I figured it out. I could be wrong but through a time consuming process of multiple Optim connect installation scenarios (from an upgrade scenario versus a fresh install scenario) the ODBC, DB2, and Oracle providers are not available with a "Fresh" build 53 install. (Which was delivered with FP4)

I had to go back to the 11.3.0 FP2 to find which connect installers contain the ODBC providers. Anything from FP4 forward seems to not  bring the ODBC providers with the base Optim install. It must have something to do with Attunity.

In any case, I just saved the Optim connect installers that were delivered with FP2 or older and upgrade them using the build 53 that came with FP4 or higher and voila. The ODBC data provider is back. There has to be another more logical solution/answer but at least I can use the ODBC data providers again.
