  • 1.  Sterling OMS v10 support with MQ

    Hi,

    We are currently using OMS V9 and it interacts with MQ v8.0.0.8. We are planning to migrate to OMS v10 and wanted to know if we can keep using MQ v8.0.0.8 for OMS v10 interaction or MQ also should be migrated to v9.x?

    V10 supports MQ 9.1, 9.2 as per the system requirements.

    Santhosh,
    As Saurabh pointed out the certified versions of MQ that V10 integrates with are the MQ9.1, 9.2 versions. But we have seen customers use swivel chair approcahes using AppConnect (IIB) to bridge between queues. If our customer has an incumbent MQ 8.x system that cant catch up to current levels immediately. You could consider bringing in an AppConnect / ESB tool to be the intermediary between the incumbent system and the MQ client/queue that IBM listens /posts to from an external SDF interface point of view. But for IBM OMS agents  for schedule release etc. those have to be on a certified agent. You will be adding risk if you base core agents on outof date tech stack. pls advise our customer accordingly
