    Hi,
We are planning to install SI 6.0 on Linux RHEL 7.6 with SQL Server 2016 on Windows OS. I would like to know if IBM support this scenario, is there any disadvantage with this approach.

    Thanks
    Kiran

This combination should work fine.  https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27043950 should help you to get the details.

    Thanks Srinivas.

Is there any article to support the combination? It will be helpful for me to present it to project Stockholders.

    Thanks

    Kiran

    Dear Kiran,
Red Hat 7.6 is supported by SI 6.0 (https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/osTabViewDetails?dsrType=tsr&deliverableId=9891C9E03F9F11E69A3DC80984E80E3E&osFamily=Linux&osId=1394472653808&product=Sterling+B2B+Integrator+6.0&isDUOnly=undefined&osDisplay=Red+Hat+Enterprise+Linux+%28RHEL%29+Server+7+x86-64&compIds=D003%7CD002%7CS004%7CS001%7CS005%7CS006).

Equally SQL Server 2016 is one of the supported databases for SI 6.0 (https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/prereqTabViewDetails?osPlatform=spcrAllValues&dsrType=tsr&deliverableId=9891C9E03F9F11E69A3DC80984E80E3E&productName=Sterling+B2B+Integrator+6.0&prereqId=67455F60534411E6865BC3F213DB63F7&prereqName=Microsoft+SQL+Server+2016&capName=Databases&isDUOnly=false&isMandatory=true&osPlatforms=AIX%7CLinux%7CWindows&duComponentIds=D003%7CD002%7CS004%7CS001%7CS005%7CS006).

OS on which DB is installed isn't important for SI. Other parameters such as network speed, latency, etc. (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS3JSW_5.2.0/com.ibm.help.performance_mgmt.doc/SIPM_SI_GenRecomCklist.html) are indeed very crucial for an optimal experience with the product.
