Thank you for attending our webcast "Advanced protection for your IBM Managed File Transfer Suite with Secure Proxy 6.0"   We received more questions than we could answer, so we are posting the answers in this forum.   If you have additional questions, please post them below and I will answer them.

    1. Which External Authentication Providers are supported for setting up Single Sign On with Secure Proxy 6.0?

    • ANSWER - Secure proxy supports External identity providers or Federation Services providers like Microsoft Active directory, or CA SSO, Oracle Identity Federation, IBM Identity Manager, Shibboleth etc. and probably 50 others which are based of SAML 2.0 Specification.

    2. Can I define multiple IP address patterns and/or UserID patterns in the blacklist?
    • ANSWER - Yes you can define multiple IPs and UserIDs and patterns.

    3. Can I use SEAS 6.0 with 5.2. x release of B2B integrator?
    • ANSWER – Yes SEAS 6.0 is compatible with B2Bi 6.0 as well as 5.2.x versions.

    4. I would appreciate further explanation of how it meets Audit requirements.
    • ANSWER – This Knowledge Center topic will share more details on the logging ability of Secure Proxy that helps with Audit related requirements:
Please note that currently Control Center consumes the CM config change audit events and health check events, but not Engine audit log events. Also to note CM browse only mode for regular users is to provide CM access to auditors.

    5. Does the new version of SSP support an internal HTTP server outside of B2Bi??
    • ANSWER – SSP mainly supports B2BI HTTP Server in the backend. B2B Integrator and File Gateway understand the SEAS sso tokens and we still use them at the backend for compatibility.

    6. Is it possible to integrate SP 6.0 with Control Center to monitor log in activity?

    • ANSWER – This is not currently available but is on the roadmap.

Thank you for the great questions.   If you have additional questions, please post them below and I will be happy to answer them.
