I hope everyone reading this blog is healthy and staying safe. I know many of us never imagined we would be experiencing something like this – and I recognize that realities differ across families and regions. For those of you who may find yourselves with additional free time on your hands right now, I thought you would appreciate a new training opportunity around the cloud.

Red Hat has made 6 virtual one-hour training sessions on the journey to cloud available at no charge.

Part of my role is to organize and run user groups, which many of you have attended. In these sessions, I have heard hundreds of users talk about the cloud. In summary of those conversations, I recognize that many of you are exploring and building cloud strategies and that one concern/challenge is the internal knowledge gap with cloud technologies. This is an opportunity to get training from a cloud pioneer, so if you have the time, I encourage you to take advantage of this training. These courses cover a lot of the topics that are raised as questions in user groups, including containerization, automation and migration.

The training classes include:

  • Red Hat OpenStack Technical Overview
  • Deploying Containerized Applications Technical Overview
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Technical Overview
  • Ansible Essentials: Simplicity in Automation Technical Overview
  • Developing Cloud-Native Applications with Microservices Architectures
  • Virtualization and Infrastructure Migration Technical Overview
