  • 1.  vLAN ID on a packet egenrated with PING -srcip4

    Hi
    If vLAN IDs have been assigned to Port/IP addresses ((say) associated with iSCSI, then if I issue a ping command from the CLI, will the PING command be issued with the VLANID  encapsulated in the 'ping packets'

    Excuse the typo in the Subject Heading....

    That should be  "generated with PING -srcip4"

    Good morning!

    If the given "-srcip4" refers to an interface (alias ethernet port) having a VLAN id assigned, 
    pings or ICMP packets sent from this interface will be tagged with this VLAN id as well.
