Enter 'q reply' and see if it is waiting on a response for something.
Also, query your activity log to find out what exact tape it is waiting on. Is that tape already in use elsewhere?
Is the VIO or the library door full or left open?
It is possible that if this has been hung for a long time, you may have to restart the TSM server to refresh the library.

I am facing a very strange issue on the environment all of sudden my all the existing tapes are not mounting throwing only this message, I have tsm very old version 5.5 so can't get support as well, we have a plan to upgrade but as of now all the function has stopped, i have 2 lib manager who is catering to server TSM100, and library manager is tsm1 and tsm 6 i am facing issue on tsm 1 not able to understand where to dig and i have restarted the lib manager twice and checked the path and drive is online. please suggest and mount wait is only 2 minutes.
