  • 1.  IBM3100 LIbrary drive is not mounting any tape

    Hello All,

    I am using 3100 IBM library tsm version is 7.1.7 suddenly library drive stopped mounting any of the tape, and surprisingly as soon as  i tried to trigger the backup it shows for waiting for tape to be mount and when i check it shows into drive status is reserved tried deleting the path of drive and libr multiple times but still no luck, attaching the snapshot of drive, one specific tape as soon as i restart the library automatically mount into drive which i can see in library console additionally when i run checkout and checkin command or audit libr ideally it is trying to mount all the tape available in the library but no progress. no error report on actlog as well.

    Please advise.

    Hi Prem,

    Do you have any hardware related drive errors showing up in the activity log within TSM?

    Also, are there any warning/error messages in the TS3100 web GUI?

    Hi Darren,

    Thank you very much for the response, it was not reporting any error on actlog that time although I have no clue how it is correlated but after resetting the Library my purpose is solved it is working fine now but I don't have any explanation how it is solved.
